Let’s take it back a bit when Canibus aka Germaine Williams was at war with LL Cool J. This beef was a huge deal in hip hop history! It all started when LL took offence to a few lyrics Canibus made in the original song, “4, 3, 2, 1” – The line in the song goes, “L, is that a mic on your arm? Let me borrow that”. LL struck back at Canibus with an indirect diss on the same record. Before the song was released, LL approached Canibus and asked him to change his lyrics in order to remain on the song… Canibus agreed… But LL Cool J kept his lyrics anyway.

That’s where Canibus fired back with the diss record titled “Second Round K.O.”, produced by Wyclef Jean and his cousin Jerry Wonder, featured spoken vocals from boxer Mike Tyson. “Second Round K.O.” was a single from the album, ‘Can-I-Bus’. It was Canibus’s only top 40 single, peaking at number 28 on the Billboard Hot 100.

For those who don’t know, Canibus was born on December 9th, 1974. He’s an American rap emcee and actor. Also a member of The Hrsmn, Sharpshooterz, Cloak N Dagga, The Undergods, and one-half of T.H.E.M. He’s a lyrical emcee who rose to fame in the mid-nineties!
